Nvidia RTX 50-series demand drops in Germany — cheapest models of all but RTX 5090 priced at MSRP or lower

The RTX 5090 continues to be snapped up quickly by retailers across Europe and beyond.

In Germany, the broader RTX 50-series lineup is experiencing weakening demand, according to data compiled by ComputerBase. Cards in the RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070 tiers from various AIB partners are now moving at prices that match or undercut their official MSRPs. The RTX 5090 stands apart as the only model still commanding strong buyer interest and remaining difficult to stock.

Pricing trends from late March through the most recent week reveal a clear downward trajectory for most models. The RTX 5080's lowest-priced variants fell from €1,169 to €1,119, aligning with its MSRP. RTX 5070 Ti entry-level cards dropped €80 over the same period, reaching €799 and undercutting the €869 March baseline. The RTX 5070 saw similar momentum, sliding from €599 to €589, both figures sitting below its €619 MSRP. The newly released RTX 5060 Ti in both 8GB and 16GB configurations are currently priced at MSRP levels based on available data.

ComputerBase RTX 50 series MSRP vs current prices and median prices

When examining median pricing rather than floor prices, the picture becomes more nuanced. The RTX 5080's median selling price declined from €1,430 in late March to €1,389 recently, though this still represents a 24% premium over MSRP. The RTX 5070 Ti's median price compressed from €1,005 to €950, narrowing the gap to just 8% above list price. The RTX 5070 median fell from €687 to €654, putting it 5% above MSRP.

While certain AIB partner variants continue commanding substantially higher prices than MSRP, the overall trajectory shows median pricing for partner-designed cards approaching official recommendations, with the RTX 5080 remaining the notable outlier. This German market stabilization contrasts sharply with conditions in the United States, where locating any RTX 50-series card near or at MSRP remains a significant challenge.
