What we collect
- Reading analytics: aggregated page views and referrers, with IP addresses truncated before storage.
- Newsletter data: your email address, kept only while you are subscribed.
- Cookie preferences: a single value recording your choice in the cookie notice.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
- We do not require an account to read our journalism.
Retention and your rights
Analytics are retained for 14 months and then deleted. You may request a copy or deletion of any personal data we hold by writing to editor@thesiliconledger.com. We answer within 30 days.
Effective date: May 1, 2026. Material changes will be announced on this page two weeks before they take effect.
