Dell's AI Data Platform Takes Center Stage at New York Symposium
Dell Technologies will showcase how its AI Data Platform helps financial institutions transform fragmented customer data into actionable intelligence at an Oct. 20 event in New York.

Financial services firms typically accumulate vast quantities of customer information but struggle to extract meaningful value from it. The real bottleneck emerges when trying to consolidate CRM records, channel touchpoints, transaction histories and market indicators that often remain isolated in separate systems. What these institutions need are tools capable of integrating disparate data sources, extracting relevant context and responding instantaneously. Dell Technologies has built its AI Data Platform around precisely this challenge, designed to serve financial clients by merging these three functions.
According to Arthur Lewis, president of the Infrastructure Solutions Group at Dell, "In many cases, the model is not the next constraint, the data is. That is the problem that the AI Data Platform was built to solve. Within the Dell AI Factory, it is the data foundation that curates, connects and serves enterprise data to fuel the AI, and especially agentic AI."
The mechanics of how Dell's offering transforms unrefined enterprise information into AI-ready context within financial services will anchor discussions at the Dell Technologies New York Symposium scheduled for Oct. 20. Dell leadership and sector specialists will convene with theCUBE Research analysts to examine the expanding significance of agentic AI, intelligent PCs and refreshed infrastructure in reshaping financial services.
Four-engine architecture for financial institutions
Dell's AI Data Platform operates through a four-engine design paired with a storage layer intended to upgrade data infrastructure and unlock efficiencies for financial organizations.
The system incorporates a Data Orchestration Engine leveraging contemporary machine learning techniques to standardize product documentation, while directing retrieval operations and gathering data for intelligence summaries. A Data Processing Engine constructed on Apache Spark manages feature engineering, customer grouping and model training for affinity scoring.
Dell's Data Search Engine, running on Elasticsearch, delivers grounded retrieval by means of vector and keyword queries spanning product knowledge repositories. The Data Analytics Engine exposes the Iceberg lakehouse as a managed SQL interface that agents can invoke directly. Any agent framework compatible with MCP can identify available data assets and run governed queries without requiring custom integration work.
A critical element of Dell's strategy centers on exposing both structured and unstructured organizational data to AI agents while retaining the business context necessary for trustworthy outputs. The company's Unified Semantic Layer addresses this requirement by bridging information across multiple sources.
Vrashank Jain, lead product manager for the AI Data Platform at Dell, explained that "The semantic layer gives structured and unstructured information consistent business meaning, so a term means the same thing everywhere it appears. It uses open models to fix the hardest part of building semantic layers: generating entities, definitions and finding meaning at-scale with human-in-the-loop for verification."
